Salame Felino is often considered “the Salame”, by definition. This salami own its name and protected geographic denomination to the village in which it has been produced for the past eight centuries.
It is the result of a mix of geographic, natural and human factors which result in this near-perfect gastronomic delicatessen. The meat used to make this salami comes from the same variety of pig used to make Prosciutto di Parma DOP and San Daniele, and the selected cuts are strictly the ones with the lowest fat contents.
